Happy Thanksgiving to all! Here's hoping you have a wonderful holiday weekend.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, I usually try to dress up a bit for this family event, usually a skirt/dress and some tights and boots. So I thought putting together a comfy, yet chic, Thanksgiving outfit on Polyvore was just the ticket!
You can be comfortable and yet still polished with a sweater dress like the one below. Why not pair it with some chic velvet leggings, which happen to be very festive and also warm and cozy? Adding in a pair of shearling booties will keep your feet warm and you'll still be styling. And what about a pop of color for your purse? Under this sweater dress, I also thought a sparkly, sequin shell would work well, like the champagne colored bustier shown below. 'This particular bustier could run a bit risque with family, but it would only show through a few inches of the sweater dress and, if you're gathering with friends or going out to a party, it could totally work! If you're not into the bustier underneath, any sequin tank or colorful undershirt would work! Have fun with it!
As for my personal Thanksgiving style, I haven't decided on a dress or skirt, but I'm definitely pairing one of those with opaque black or grey tights or black leggings and my flat equestrian boots that I discussed in this earlier post.
Bon Appetit! And remember, Thanksgiving comes only once a year so be guilt free with your food and pick the stuff you really love and dig in!
