It's official! The 80's are back in a big and bold way with neons and
brights dominating summer styles. I love the liveliness of these
colors! Although I am a bit color shy myself, pairing only one colorful
item with another neutral, I tried to play with pairing all neon and
bright outfits with similarly bright colored accessories. In reality,
these looks are perhaps still a bit too bold for myself. Were I
adventurous enough to wear one of these colorful looks, I may tone the
outfit down with adding a neutral shoe or bag or both. However, seeing
them put together with the accessories makes me think anyone can pull
this off. How great would these outfits look during the spring and
summer months?! Any girl can put together something similar and stand
out confidently, knowing she looks great and in the now. Check out the
bold looks below that I put together on Polyvore.com and see what you
think.
While I'm loving all these looks, my particular favorites are the green shoes by Poetic License and the blue wide leg pants. Also that red cap sleeve Karen Millen top would be a perfect compliment to any work wardrobe! *Sigh* It'll be a few more weeks until we get that warm, summer-like weather back in D.C. (we had some unseasonably warm days in the 70's and 80's just this past March, and now it's gone back to early spring like weather in the 50's and 60's) but I know what looks I'll be putting together in the mean time.
Oh, and for some reason the link to the purple button down blouse does not show up in the posting, so here's the info on that: T. Babaton Mel Top, available at http://aritzia.com
