With the cooler mornings and lower humidity kicking in this week I found myself thinking how fall is right around the corner. I can't even believe that some kids are back in school already!
That got me thinking about my makeup for the fall. While I still like to keep it basic and neutral for work, I do like to change up my every day nail colors and eye colors and add in a bit more glow to my face that won't come with all the sun exposure in the summer. As you can see below, I've included a nude lip, brown and gold eye colors, which also make a great non-traditional smoky eye and black mascara. I've also included basic powder based foundation, an all over face glow color by Bare Escentuals and a blush by Nars in a universally flattering color called, (gasp!) orgasm.
Also, adding in a heavier fragrance like a perfume, as opposed to a body spray, with a bit spicier scent is another way I like to change things up in the colder months. My old favorite fragrance used to be Burburry Tender Touch, which had a hint of jasmine and white flower but smelled a bit more musky. Unfortunately they discontinued it. I guess me and my three friends loving it wasn't enough for it to stay around! Since then I've explored other avenues but haven't settled on a favorite, although I really like the smell of Chanel Chance from the sample I have and I also switch between the Michael by Michael Kors perfume and Chanel No. 5, which was a Christmas present a couple of years ago, but the bottle is so big I haven't nearly finished it yet!
Some of my favorite products are also included below. I love Bare Escentuals makeup, Nars bronzer and blush, Lancome Definicils mascara and Laura Mercier lip gloss. Other brands I really love include Makeup Forever, MAC and Bobby Brown.
Do you transition into a fall beauty regimen? Are there colors you like best in different seasons?
