I love the idea of wearing sequins during the day for a casual and sophisticated look.
Pair a cute sequin tank with a printed skirt, neutral blazer and flats and you're ready to hit up one of the many the farmer's markets in the area, take a walk along the Potomac River, catch a movie at the Uptown Theatre and catch up with some girlfriends over a couple of drinks and tapas at Zaytinya.
Check out the sequin outfit I put together on Polyvore below! I love how the mint/seafoam green sequin top pops against the more muted, but totally cute, printed skirt. I also love how the white blazer doesn't overshadow the top. White is so hot for summer looks you can put a similar outfit together with a white skirt, white blazer, and white sequin top and look oh-so-fresh! Do you already have a sequin top in your closet? Pair it with a neutral or printed above the knee skirt, a neutral blazer or cardigan (blazer and cardigan are not necessary unless you get cold in air conditioned rooms like me) and a pair of flat sandals and you're good to go. This look will work for anything you do in the day time or a casual nighttime outing!
I even put in a great summer fragrance, Marc Jacobs (yes, the guy in the dress from the previous post) Daisy. Add some mascara and lip gloss and your summer beauty is ready to go!
